The title only indicates the fact that: I have been invited to spent some sommer days in a nice house without the owners. As a result I stayed and painted away. I left this painting at this person’s place. He knew Jean Tinguely https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Tinguely . As he told me: Tinguely has called him, said that he wants to buy a painting of an original young artist & asked if this man can recommend one. The man said that he knows one girl who is an original artist & has a painting of her (of me). Tinguely bought this particular painting (above).

As I got the money (back then for me quite a sum, but actually just some little) I was proud but careless. Hence I did not care to get to know Tinguely. Until several years later I realised that I should have AND I wish to. I was sitting somewhere in swiss pampas waiting for the exchange train thinking that. There was plenty of time to wait. Bought it. Returned to a bench, sat down & looked at the cover WITH A BIG PORTRAIT…. It said “JEAN TINGUELY DIED”
